Frederick Thomas Jr. was a backup outfielder for the American Samoa national team in the 2011 Pacific Games. The 16-year-old started in left against Palau and singled off Raynold Sadang but was then lifted for pinch-hitter John Pu'e. His other game, he replaced Christopher Eneli in right against Guam, then moved to left. He struck out against Roke Alcantara Jr. then was replaced by Pu'e.
