Biographical Information[edit]
Freddy Guzmán was signed by scouts Bill Clark and Modesto Ulloa for the San Diego Padres in March 2000. He made his pro debut with the DSL Padres that summer.
Guzman hit .235/.235/.353 for the Águilas Cibaeñas in the 2008 Caribbean Series and made two errors in center field. He returned to the Caribbean Series in 2010, playing for the champion Leones del Escogido.
Through 2002, he played as Pedro de los Santos.
Guzmán became a hitting coach with the DSL Nationals in 2018-2019 and 2021-2024.
Notable Achievements[edit]
- Won a World Series with the New York Yankees in 2009 (he did not play in the World Series)
