Biographical Information[edit]
Minor league catcher Fred Tschudin was killed in the crash of an Air Force training plane near Kinston, NC at the age of 29.
Tschudin played in the minors from 1940-1942 and 1946-1951. His best season was in 1949 when he hit .350 with 105 RBI for the Douglas Trojans. Tschudin managed the Trojans in 1950 and the Tifton Blue Sox in 1951.
