Biographical Information

Third baseman Fred Taylor was another of the Bahamian farmhands for the Houston Astros in the late 1960s. He played 51 games for their rookie-ball team in Covington, Kentucky in 1968, hitting .289 with one home run. One of his teammates was Jayson Moxey. However, that was Fred’s only pro season. He won a Bahamian batting title in 1970.
