Biographical Information[edit]

Franklin Soto has played in the minors and has been on the Dominican national team.

Soto hit .280/.336/.365 with 31 runs in 55 games for the 2017 DSL Cardinals, splitting time between short and second. In '18, he hit .305/.402/.421 with 49 runs and 8 triples in 61 games for the DSL Cardinals Red, stealing 23 bases in 35 tries and drawing 38 walks. He tied for 6th in the Dominican Summer League in triples and tied for second in the Cards chain, five behind Diomedes Del Rio. In 2019, he played for the GCL Cardinals (.226/.339/.356 in 41 G) and Palm Beach Cardinals (1 for 6, 2B).

After the 2020 minor league season was wiped out by the COVID-19 pandemic, he returned to Palm Beach in 2021, batting .208/.281/.288 while fielding .911 as their main second baseman. After starting 2022 7-for-30 with four walks for Palm Beach, he was released. He then joined the Dominicans for the 2022 Bolivarian Games but was removed from the roster before the baseball portion of the Games began. [1]
