Biographical Information

Frankie Rios played college ball at the University of Southern California and graduated with a degree in sociology. He was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 17th round of the MLB 2017 amateur draft and played in their minor league system from 2017-2018. He went to spring training in 2019 but was released in late March. He rejoined the Red Sox in July as a coach for the Lowell Spinners.

Rios was scheduled to coach the Portland Sea Dogs in 2020 before the COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the minor league season. He will be a coach for the Salem Red Sox in 2021.
