Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Frank Pytlak entered the Navy in April 1942 and was discharged in September 1945, missing nearly four seasons while serving during World War II. He later coached high school baseball and worked in a sporting goods store.
He is remembered as the catcher for Bob Feller's game in 1938 when Feller recorded 18 strikeouts.
