Biographical Information[edit]

Frank Pearce was 16 years old when he pitched his one major league game in October 1876, in the first year of the new National League. He was born in Kentucky in 1860, and later died in the state in 1926.

Frank Pearce was the youngest player in the league in 1876, while Dickey Pearce was the second oldest player in the league.

Pearce was born in Kentucky, as was the later major leaguer named Frank Pearce. Both had the full first name "Franklin", perhaps being named after the President, although the President spelled his last name "Pierce."
