Biographical Information[edit]

Frank Madan has pitched for the Tinajones de Camagüey. He debuted in 2009-2010 at age 18, allowing nine hits and 7 runs in 4 2/3 IP and going 1-1. In 2010-2011, the right-hander went 2-1 despite 21 hits and 15 runs (13 earned) in 11 2/3 IP. He made big strides in 2011-2012, starting off 6-4 with a 2.81 ERA. On March 13, he tossed nine innings of 2-hit, 3-walk ball in a scoreless battle with fellow youngster Raimar Navarro, who was hurling a no-hitter but walking 8. In the 10th, thanks to the Schiller rule, Madan started with two runners aboard. After a sacrifice, Oscar del Rosario singled in the winner. Pablo Fernández completed Navarro's no-hitter.
