Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Frank Lausche played in the minor leagues in 1916 (for the Duluth White Sox) and 1917 (for the Lawrence Barristers). He hit .218 with four home runs in 58 games. He joined the U.S. Army in 1918.
Lausche later served as the Mayor of Cleveland from 1942 to 1945, the Governor of Ohio from 1945 to 1947 and from 1949 to 1957 and an Senator representing Ohio from 1957 to 1969.
He attended the John Marshall School of Law following his playing career.
