Biographical Information

Frank Humber was an Olympic pitcher.

Humber was with Team Canada in the 1987 Pan American Games. He was 3-0 with a 3.60 ERA for Canada in the 1988 Baseball World Cup. He tied Andy Benes, Chieh-Jen Yang and Julio Moya for second in the event in wins, one behind Cuba's Orlando Hernandez. He remained with Canada for the 1988 Olympics.

Frank was picked by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 16th round of the 1989 amateur draft. In his pro debut, he was 3-1 with eight saves and a 3.13 ERA for the Great Falls Dodgers to help the team win the Pioneer League. He was one of two 1988 Canadian Olympic team pitchers on the squad, the other being Barry Parisotto.

In 1990, Frank made 57 appearances for the Bakersfield Dodgers, going 6-5 with 13 saves and a 3.47 ERA. He was 4th in the California League in appearances. It was his last season in pro ball.
