Biographical Information

Francis "Frank" Fahey came out of college to play major league baseball as a two-way player. He appeared in ten games, mostly as an outfielder, but pitched in three games for a total of nine innings. Three years later he played twenty games for the Waterbury Brasscos.

As a big-league player, his best game was his last, on June 10, 1918, when he went 2-for-3 with a single and double and RBI against Hooks Dauss of the 1918 Detroit Tigers. Fahey also pitched five innings that day, giving up one run on two hits but allowing five walks. He pitched against Ty Cobb (who played first base), Bobby Veach and Harry Heilmann in the 2-3-4 positions of the Tigers lineup.

This site [1] says he was a payroll clerk after his baseball days. A "Frank Fahey" is mentioned as a scout, most notably one who scouted the young Bob Gibson, and Roger Maris, but that is probably not the same Frank Fahey.
