Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Frank Cooper played with the 1913 Cleveland Green Sox in the Federal League, then moved to the 1914 Scranton Miners.
Frank Chance offered $8000 to Baltimore for Cooper mid-season 1913, but he suffered a leg injury before the deal could go through. He was sent to Scranton instead for the 1914 season. His leg didn't bother him that year, where he hit .300 and was "easily the fastest runner and one of the best hit and run men even seen in the State League", per a newspaper report. See The Rock Island Argus, 22 July 1914. Chronicling America: Historic American Newspapers. Lib. of Congress. <http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/sn92053934/1914-07-22/ed-1/seq-9/>
He does not seem to have played past 1914, and BR has no further stats for him.
