Biographical Information[edit]
Frank Baker played four seasons in the big leagues, mostly as a shortstop. He backed up Gene Michael on the 1970 and 1971 New York Yankees and Mark Belanger on the 1973 and 1974 Baltimore Orioles. Both Orioles teams won their division and both Yankees teams finished over .500. In the minors, Baker spent parts of four seasons with the Syracuse Chiefs.
Another player of the same name, Frank Baker, also appeared in the American League in 1971. That one was an outfielder while this one was an infielder. Both shared a name with Hall of Famer Frank "Home Run" Baker.
