Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Frandy Delarosa was signed by the Chicago Cubs as a 17-year-old before the 2013 season. He began his professional career that year with the DSL Cubs, hitting only .077. He returned to the same team in 2014, where he hit .281 in 61 games, scoring 38 runs and driving in 50, while hitting 19 doubles. In 2015, he moved to the United States with the Eugene Emeralds of the Northwest League, where he hit .273/.315/.367 in 62 games, with 32 runs and 30 RBIs. He played second abse exclusively after splitting his time between shortstop and second his first two seasons.
On November 20, 2015, he was traded to the Texas Rangers in return for P Spencer Patton.
