Biographical Information

Francisco Melendez's nickname is "Terín". He previously played winter ball in Puerto Rico and in 2008 managed there.

He was the first baseman for the 1983 Reading Phillies who went 96-44. Teammates there included Juan Samuel, Darren Daulton, Jeff Stone, Mike LaValliere and Mike Maddux.
