Biographical Information[edit]
Francisco Matos hit .529 in the 1999 Pan American Games, the best average of the tournament.
He hit .416 for the Allentown Ambassadors of the Northern League in 2001.
Matos has coached for the Orem Owlz (2007), Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (2008), and Arkansas Travelers (2009-2012). Matos moved up to the Salt Lake Bees on May 22, 2012 as hitting coach. He was replaced in Arkansas on May 30th by Nathan Haynes. Matos stayed in Salt Lake in 2013-2014. He moved to the Texas Rangers' chain as coach of the Hickory Crawdads in 2015-2016.
