Francisco Amescua
Francisco Amescua García-López also listed as Amézcua
Francisco Amescua, having lived in Cuba, was the first president of the Spanish baseball federation. A person of the same name (not clear if it's the same guy or a son) was on the first Spanish national team, at the 1954 European Championship. In the title match with Italy, he hit 5th and played right field. He went 0 for 4 with a walk and handled no chances in the field. He also was an outfielder for the Spanish national team in the 1955 European Championship (Spain's only European Championship title until 2023), 1958 European Championship and 1960 European Championship (Bronze); he also played for Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid.
