Francisco Abad

Francisco Abad was a catcher for Atlético de Madrid when they won the Division Honor title in 1952. He was on the Spanish national team that played an exhibition against Italy in 1953. When the first European Championship was held in 1954, he made Spain's team as a catcher. He also caught for Spain when they won the 1955 European Championship, splitting the role with Antonio Redón.
