Biographical Information[edit]

Francis Essic played in the minor leagues from 1947 to 1949 and in 1951. He hit .308 and 318, respectively, for the Mt. Airy Graniteers his first two seasons. In 1949, he began the season as Mt. Airy's manager, being replaced by Phil Lundeen.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
