Fort Lewis College is located in Durango, CO where it was founded in 1911 as an institution to provide free postsecondary education to Native American students. It is now a public liberal arts college but still maintains its specific mandate for Native American students. Johnnie Seale went here. Bus Bergman coached football here in the late 1940s.
