Biographical Information

Finn Bakken lived in Proctor, MN from 1920 until his death in 1994. He attended school through eighth grade before entering the work force during the Great Depression. His professional baseball career consisted of stints as an infielder for the Duluth Dukes in 1938 and for the Duluth Heralds of the Class E Twin Ports League in 1943. He worked as an ore sorter for the Duluth, Missabe and Iron Range Railway for 30 years and retired in 1976.
