Biographical Information[edit]
Fernando Rodriguez of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim was only used once in his first taste of Major League action, giving up two earned runs in two-thirds of an inning against the New York Yankees on May 2, 2009.
He came back to the majors in May of 2011 with the the Houston Astros. In his second outing for his new team on May 31st, he earned his first major league win after pitching a third of an inning against the Chicago Cubs; he was removed for a pinch-hitter and was credited with the windfall victory when the Astros mounted a 6-run 9th inning against Cubs closer Carlos Marmol to turn a 3-1 deficit into a 7-3 win.
