Biographical Information

Infielder Fernando Perez was taken by the San Diego Padres in the 3rd round of the 2012 amateur draft. The scout was Dave Lottsfeldt.

A 2014 MiLB.com Organization All-Star after he hit 18 home runs with 95 RBI for the Fort Wayne TinCaps, Perez was named the Padres #7 prospect going into 2015 by Baseball America. Though he performed poorly during the regular season (.224 batting average), he earned a spot in the Arizona Fall League, where he batted .250/.328/.411. He was the Padres' #24 prospect going into 2016.
