Biographical Information[edit]
Felipe Blanco played in the San Diego Padres' chain from 2011 to 2017, reaching AAA for 7 games in 2016. Primarily a middle infielder, Blanco hit .196/.258/.277 over his seven minor league seasons.
Blanco began his coaching career with the Canberra Cavalry during the 2017/2018 Australian Baseball League season. He coached the Cavalry each of the next two seasons as well.
In the United States, Blanco joined the San Diego Padres player development system in 2018. He was a fielding coach for the Tri-City Dust Devils in 2018 and the Lake Elsinore Storm in 2019. Blanco was slated to return to the Storm in 2020 before the minor league season was cancelled due to COVID-19. He was a fielding coach for the Fort Wayne TinCaps in 2021 before serving as a bench coach with Lake Elsinore in 2022 and the San Antonio Missions in 2023.
