Biographical Information[edit]
Fabio Aquino pitched for the Dominican national team in the 1992 Olympics. He appeared in two shutout losses. Against Gold Medal winner Cuba, he relieved Felix Nova with two outs in the 4th of a 8-0 loss; he allowed 8 hits and 4 runs in 4 innings, with no walks or strikeouts, before Eugenio Valdez took over. Versus Bronze Medal winner Japan, he again came in with two away in the 4th, this time replacing Valdez. He allowed ten hits, two walks and ten runs (nine earned) in 3 1/3 IP in a mercy rule loss. His 15.95 ERA was not the Dominican Republic's highest - both Juan Viñas and Jose Santana were higher.
