Biographical Information[edit]
Félix Benavides was an infielder (SS/3B) and center fielder in Cuba. He hit .279/.346/.469 with 164 home runs, 557 runs and 583 RBI in 3,813 at-bats. He fielded .934. He played for Cuba in some minor events but not in any major tournaments. On April 18, 1987, he hit three triples in a game for a Cuban record. His 51 RBI for Granma led the eastern division in the 1987-1988 Serie Nacional. In 1996, he played in a Japanese minor league on loan. He was named the All-Star third baseman in the Colombian League in 1997. After baseball, he went into education.
