Biographical Information[edit]

Ezra Lincoln pitched in the majors in 1890.

Lincoln was two years younger than fellow pitcher Cy Young. Both pitched for the Cleveland Spiders in 1890, but not at the same time as Lincoln's release from the club opened up a spot for Young. Later that same year Lincoln pitched in three games for the Syracuse Stars.

Lincoln played for many years in the New England League. He was a teammate of the youngster Nap Lajoie at Fall River in 1896. After baseball, he worked as a blacksmith and then as an auto mechanic.
