Biographical Information

Ewell Utley pitched in the Detroit Tigers system from 1950 to 1954. He won ten or more games twice, first in 1950 (11-10, 5.75 ERA for the Thomasville Tigers and Griffin Tigers) and again in 1952, when he was 14-11 with a 3.18 ERA for the Davenport Tigers. Overall, Utley was 42-43 with a 4.20 ERA in 132 games.
