Evan Jacob Blesoff

Biographical Information[edit]

Evan Blesoff has pitched in Division Elite. He played basketball, soccer and baseball in high school. Going on to Northwestern University, he went 1-3 with a 3.97 ERA and a save as a freshman in 2002. He fell to 1-2, 5.45 as a sophomore and was atrocious as a junior, giving up 17 hits, 19 runs and 10 walks in 6 1/3 IP. As a senior in 2005, Blesoff went 4-8 with a 6.50 ERA. He was 6-13 with a 6.40 ERA overall during his college career.

Blesoff then pitched in France's Division Elite. He hit .265/.395/.382 for the 2007 Templiers de Sénart and went 3-3 with a save and 3.43 ERA, fanning 69 in 63 innings. In 2008, he was the club's #2 starter after Samuel Meurant. He had a 10-4 record, with an ERA of 3.06 and an opponent batting average of .197 in 19 games. He had 16 starts, with 149 K's and 50 walks in 123 2/3 innings. He also hit .254/.375/.388. He helped his club finish second in the league. He was 1-0 with a 2.19 ERA in the 2008 European Cup in Regensburg, beating Draci Brno in the 5th/6th place game; he went 2 for 10 with 5 walks and 3 runs as well.

Blesoff started for the Templiers in the 2009 European Cup against Fortitudo Bologna, allowing 5 runs in 6 innings but just one earned run.
