Biographical Information

Esmailin Caridad was originally signed by the Hiroshima Carp out of the Dominican Republic and became a free agent on a technicality. He was signed for the Chicago Cubs in 2007 by scout Jose Serra with an assist by GM Jim Hendry. In two big league do si dos with the Cubs (2009 and 2010), he was 1-1 with a 3.09 ERA in 22 games.
