Biographical Information

The brother of Abner Abreu, Esdras Abreu began his professional career in 2009.

Debuting as the left fielder for the DSL Rangers 2, Abreu hit .203/.367/.329 in 2009. In 2010, he batted .236/.297/.366 with 61 K in 161 at-bats and 8 walks for the DSL Rangers while fielding .896 (.001 better than in his first year). The next year, he improved slightly to .236/.317/.406 but saw his playing time fall, again with the DSL Rangers. 2011 was his final professional campaign.
