Biographical information[edit]

Lefthander Ernie "Lefty" Jenkins pitched in the minor leagues from 1930 to 1941, with one appearance in 1946. In 1935 with the Bassett Furnituremakers, he went 21-9 in 44 appearances - he went 77-51 overall.

As a manager, Jenkins had a very successful run in the New York Yankees chain from 1935 to 1939.
