Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Mike Garbark was a member of the New York Yankees in 1944 and 1945. He showed a lot of hustle, hitting seven triples in 475 at-bats. His brother Bob Garbark was in the majors as a catcher at the same time, and the two brothers each hit .261 in 1944.
Mike spent 12 seasons in the minors and managed three different clubs there as well.
He is a member of the Villanova University Hall of Fame for his prowess in football.
