Biographical Information[edit]
Erik Neander has been a General Manager and senior executive.
Neander began his career as an intern with the Tampa Bay Rays in 2007. He moved up the ranks, becoming vice president of baseball operations in 2014 and GM in November 2016. As of 2017, he was the second-youngest GM in baseball at the time, behind David Stearns. On December 16, 2021, he was promoted to President of Baseball Operations for the Rays, with Peter Bendix being named to take his former position. However, Bendix left after the 2023 season to become President of Baseball Operations for the Miami Marlins, leaving Neander to take over GM duties for the Rays once again - at least until someone else was identified for the position.
