Biographical Information[edit]
Eric Plunk was twice traded in deals for Rickey Henderson. He gave up Sammy Sosa's 62nd home run during the 1998 season. Eric was the ace of his high school pitching staff, but the #2 pitcher on the Bellflower High School pitching staff, Todd Simmons, was also drafted in the 1981 amateur draft. Simmons went to the Philadelphia Phillies in the 15th round.
