Biographical Information[edit]
Eric Minshall graduated from Archbishop Moeller High School in 1992. In the years since then, Eric coached baseball at a variety of venues. He was a Pittsburgh Pirates bullpen catcher for parts of the 1992 and 1993 seasons as well as the 1998 bullpen catcher for the Norfolk Tides.
Most of his coaching experience occurred around Ohio. There was a report that he served as an assistant coach at Moeller in the late 1990s [1] which could not be confirmed. Minshall spent the 2003 season as a third base coach for the Florence Freedom of the Frontier League. Minshall gained regional and national recognition for his work at the Elite Pitching Academy from 2011 to present. He worked with professional and amateur pitchers primarily. Minshall also worked as a pitching coach for five seasons (2014-2018) with the Miami University Hamilton Harriers. In 2019, the Pittsburgh Pirates hired him for the pitching coach position with the Bristol Pirates, an Appalachian League rookie level club. Minshall returned to the Frontier League in 2020 as the pitching coach for the Southern Illinois Miners [2].
