Enmanuel Meza has played for the Nicaraguan national team.
Meza debuted in Nicaragua's amateur league in 2011, hitting .270/.325/.306 for Leon. [1] He improved to .315/.389/.426 in 2012, .294/.377/.419 in 2013 and .326/.429/.415 in 2014. [2] In the 2014 U-21 Baseball World Cup, he was 2 for 11 with two walks, a double, two runs and two RBI for Nicaragua. [3]
In '15, he batted .324/.424/.432, followed by .331/.439/.414 in 2016. [4] He was with Nicaragua for the 2016 U-23 Baseball World Cup, hitting .167/.306/.233 while handling 60 chances error-free at 1B. [5] He produced at a .394/.478/.589 clip in 2017. [6]
Debuting in the Nicaraguan Professional League in 2018, he batted .311/.478/.378 for the Leones. He hit .265/.393/.338 in 2019 and .378/.511/.432 in 2020. [7] He made Nicaragua's squad for the 2020 Americas Olympic Qualifier. He started at first base for Nicaragua in their opener against Team USA, batting 7th. He flew out and struck out against Matthew Liberatore and flew out against Brandon Dickson. He finished the event 1-for-8, getting a hit off Puerto Rico's Miguel Martínez. [8]
