Biographical Information[edit]

Emir Darce pitched for the Nicaraguan national team.

Darce debuted in 1976, going 10-9 with two saves and a 1.64 ERA between Chinandega and Boer. He tied for the most losses. [1] He was on the Nicaraguan team that won Gold in the 1977 Central American Games. [2] He also pitched in the 1977 Intercontinental Cup. [3]

He was 5-3 with a save and a 4.97 ERA in 1978 and had a 2-1, 1.85 record in '79. In 1980, he was 6-1 with a save and a 3.61 ERA followed by 4-4, 1.76 with two saves in 1981. [4] He threw a perfect game against Boacos on June 14, 1981. [5] It was the first perfecto in Nicaragua's amateur league; it would be 10 years until Asdrudes Flores threw the second. [6]

The lefty was 1-1 with a 4.09 ERA in 1982, 2-0 with a 1.13 in 1983 and 1-0 with a 2.75 ERA in 1987. He had gone 31-19 with six saves and a 2.75 ERA in 132 games. [7]
