Biographical Information[edit]
Emilio Vargas went 20-19 with a 2.66 ERA in 77 games in the Cuban Serie Nacional, playing in the league's first seven seasons. He was the losing pitcher in the 1964 Cuban All-Star Game. He also went with the Cuban national team to the 1961 Amateur World Series but was not on their official roster. After his retirement as a player, he coached for Granma and the Mineros.
