Biographical Information[edit]
Emil Belich was a player and scout.
Belich was 4-4 with a 4.12 ERA for the 1940 Green Bay Bluejays; he also hit .249/?/.430 as a part-time first baseman and was third on the club with eight homers. In 1941, he had a 1-2, 4.39 record for the Hopkinsville Hoppers and went 6 for 21 with a homer offensively to end his playing career.
Belich scouted for the Milwaukee Brewers, San Diego Padres and Philadelphia Phillies, signing Jim Gantner, Paul Molitor and Gene Walter among others. He died of prostrate cancer.
