Elvis Dominguez

Elvis Dominguez has been a college coach.
Dominguez was the shortstop at Creighton University from 1982-1986 and hit .348. He was graduate assistant there in 1986-1987 under Jim Hendry, then was assistant coach in 1987-1988. He was head coach at Omaha Central High School from 1988-1992 and was an associate scout for the Texas Rangers from 1989-1992, then returned to Creighton as assistant head coach from 1992-1997. He became an assistant coach at the University of Iowa, where he served from 1997-2001.
In 2001, Dominguez became head coach at Eastern Kentucky University. The team was 178-199-2 in his 8 years at the helm, going over .500 after a rough first season. His 2003 team was second in the country with 131 steals and his 2004 team led the country in average (.375) and doubles (137) and was second in slugging (.551).
Dominguez has coached and recruited several major leaguers, including Josh Anderson, Kim Bartee, Alan Benes and Scott Servais as well as first-round pick Christian Friedrich.
In 2008, he became the 15th head coach in Bradley University history.
