Biographical Information

Elvin Rivera pitched in the minor leagues and the CPBL.

Rivera was signed by the California Angels in 1984, and he had a 9.35 ERA in 9 games for the Salem Angels in his first year. He recorded a 5.11 ERA in 24 games with the Quad Cities Angels in 1986, and he had a 2.81 ERA in 6 games in 1987. Rivera pitched for the Reno Silver Sox in 1988, and he was 0-4 with a 7.38 ERA. The Mercuries Tigers of the CPBL signed him when they were founded in 1990, and he was 2-5 with a 2.61 ERA in 21 games. Rivera also went 0-5 with a 5.11 ERA for the Laredo Apaches in 1995.
