Biographical Information[edit]
Buddy Dashiell pitched for the Stroudsburg Poconos in the Class D North Atlantic League for one season in 1950. He had a record of 16-8 with a 3.64 earned run average in 188 innings pitched. At the plate, he hit .278 with 4 doubles for the season. His obituary also mentioned several seasons of semi-pro baseball including some time with his local nine, the Fruitland Clippers. He was an inductee in the Eastern Shore Baseball Hall of Fame.
Following his baseball career, Dashiell owned and operated a drilling company, a grocery store, a pool hall, and a barber shop in Fruitland, Maryland. He died in nearby Salisbury at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center.
