Efraín Ibarra

Efraín Ibarra was a top umpire in Mexico. He began in 1965 in the Mexican Center League and had made it to the Mexican League by 1967. He would work 11 Caribbean Series and win numerous awards in Mexico. He retired following the 1989 Caribbean Series, in which he was a home plate umpire. After failing on a couple prior bids, he was voted into the Salón de la Fama in 2010. Unfortunately, he had died a few months earlier and was not around to appreciate the honor.
