Edinho Meyer played his fifth minor league season in 2009.

Meyer was signed by the Baltimore Orioles in July 2004. He debuted as a pro with Venoco in the 2005 Venezuelan Summer League, going just 6 for 61 with two doubles and six walks. In 2006, he hit .271/.377/.322 for the same club. Moving up to the DSL Orioles in 2007, Meyer batted .273/.389/.448.

Meyer produced at a .317/.385/.446 rate for the 2008 GCL Orioles. He was 10th in the Gulf Coast League in batting average and led the club with nine doubles. In 2009, he hit .252/.322/.359 as a 1B-OF with the Bluefield Orioles.

Meyer played for the Dutch Antilles in the 2010 South American Games.
