Biographical Information[edit]
Eddie Bogart, a native Oregonian, played in the beginning of his career in various minor leagues in the Pacific Northwest starting in 1914. In 1921, he signed with the New Orleans Pelicans of the Southern Association and played five seasons with them. His best season was 1921 when he batted .345 in 146 games while playing third base for the Pelicans. The next four seasons, he was primarily an outfielder for New Orleans.
After one more season in 1926 playing in both the Southern Association for the Chattanooga Lookouts and in the South Atlantic League for both Augusta and Charlotte, he moved on to the New England League for 1927. His last season in Organized Baseball was in 1929 with the Lowell/Nashua team in the New England League.
