Biographical Information[edit]
Ed Halbriter pitched one game in the big leagues, for the 1882 Philadelphia Athletics in the first year of the existence of the major league American Association. He gave up 12 runs, of which 7 were earned, in 8 innings. He also played amateur ball in Indianapolis and minor league ball in Detroit and Terra Haute. For the 1884 Terra Haute team he was mostly an outfielder. He moved to Los Angeles, CA after his pro career and had success as a nightclub owner, merchant and real estate investor.
Ed's son Percy was once general manager fore the Vernon Tigers.
