Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Dustin Kelly played in the Boston Red Sox chain in 2004-2006, reaching AA. He hit .224/.307/.302 in 168 games, with 67 runs and 54 RBI. He fielded .971 at 2B and .908 at 3B, his main two position, and also pitched 1 1/3 shutout innings.
Kelly was an assistant coach at California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo in 2008-2010. He coached for the 2018 Ogden Raptors and was hitting coach of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes in 2019. He was scheduled to return to Rancho Cucamonga in 2020 before the season was cancelled due to Covid-19. In 2023, he was named hitting coach of the Chicago Cubs.
Dustin's brother, Jason Kelly, has been a college coach.
