Biographical Information[edit]
A deaf mute, first baseman Dummy Kihm played in the minors for 17 years with 2,245 hits and a career .293 average. He hit 17 home runs with the Fort Wayne Farmers in 1897 to lead the Inter-State League. In 1902, he hit .296 in 134 games with the American Association champion Indianapolis Indians. He also hit .285 with the 1905 American Association champs, the Columbus Senators.
